about
education

education

I hold both an undergrad and a master's degree in industrial design from Auburn University. I often find myself needing to explain what industrial design is and how it's relevant to what I do now. Here's a quick explanation that you and my mom can always use as a reference when needed:

Industrial design is about creating and developing concepts and specifications that optimize the function, value, and appearance of products and systems for the benefit of both user and manufacturer. It's a unique blend of art, business, and engineering.

Industrial designers focus on designing products that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing, considering factors such as usability, ergonomics, materials, and manufacturing processes.

In essence, industrial design aims to make everyday objects more useful, beautiful, and accessible to everyone.
